Rollerblade 'Coyote' off-road inline skates, $10.
We've all seen the crazy people flying down the road on those 'inline skates' that are all the rage nowadays, but how often do you see off-road style inline skates that sport 6" inflatable tires? This was the first time I'd ever seen anything like these Coyotes!
When these Coyotes first got my attention at the yard sale, the guy told me that he had paid over $300 for them. It turns out that these skates actually cost almost $400 to buy back when they were new, and what's interesting is that Rollerblade has stopped making them.
When a company makes something as outrageous as these skates, there's bound to be a following. But now that Rollerblade has stopped production, where will these fanatics get their next pair? Well, from you of course! People on eBay are currently paying from $75 to over $150 for these skates, and as supplies diminish, don't expect the prices to drop.
Keep in mind that these skates were intended for less-than-ideal conditions, so you should check every pair carefully for damage or excessive wear. And pay special attention to the tires, since they're made from relatively soft rubber and are susceptible to holes and cuts.
These skates sold on eBay for $126.
