Panasonic EV221 'Panabrator II' massager, $2

The Panasonic Panabrator is an unusual profile, and the old model EV221 can be one of your most profitable. Panasonic has been making the Panabrator for many years, and there are plenty of them out there. You are strongly advised to learn more about this fantastically profitable line of personal massagers!

Let's face it - there is no real shortage of panabrators out there. But this particular example was an unusual find, in that it's an old EV221 that's still in the box with all paperwork, including the store receipt from 1984! Unfortunately, all these extras really don't add much to this item's value to the folks who will be looking to buy it, since so many Panabrators are bought to be used. That's right - many folks who buy these older massagers do so to use them, which means that overall condition will be what dictates a massager's value.

The beauty of the Panabrator opportunity is, besides the fact that they're small and easy to pack for shipment, that they're relatively easy to test out. The EV221 has an on/off switch and a little twist knob to adjust the massager's variable vibration speed. Through very careful scrutiny of how these massagers behave on eBay, I've drawn the conclusion that the single most powerful price-determining factor is the condition of the head. More specifically, the color of the top of the massager head.

Notice in our example below how the massager's head has turned a tan shade. This has nothing to do with use, as so many of these older Panabrators exhibit this same discoloration. I assume that the browning of the plastic is simply an age thing that affects the plastic itself, as this discoloration is actually in the plastic and cannot be removed. This discoloration obviously had no effect on the unit's function, as the browned versions can top a hundred bucks on eBay.

I mention this browning because I don't want it to dissuade you from snapping up one of these older massagers, since most of the ones I've seen on eBay seem to have it. It's interesting to note that a bright white head on one of these older massagers can easily double the amount you could otherwise expect to sell it for on eBay!
