Clamshell style back brace, $2.

This orthopedic back brace is designed to fit the entire length of the torso, from the waist to the upper chest. It's made from plastic, with a softer foam lining inside. Everything is held in place with three velcro straps on each side. Back braces like this one are expensive, so you should familiarize yourself with this area of the medical industry!

I suppose that the good thing here is that this back brace is apparently a generic design, in that there are lots of these braces out there that look exactly like this one. And they all seem to sell well on eBay.

The only thing I can assume is that there are few, if any, manufacturers of these back braces who let them go at bargain basement prices.

I guess the lesson here is that you should snap these braces up whenever you can get them for a few dollars. Just make sure that they're clean and free of any damage or signs of wear. Let's face it, nobody wants to buy someone else's nasty, dirty old clamshell back brace!

This orthopedic clamshell style back brace sold on eBay for $56.
